May 06, 2006.  Hagan Park / American River Parkway.
Took the dogs on a long walk down by Hagan park and then we let them have a bit of fun in the river. Sadie the Terrible Pig had a great time splashing all about like a hippo. Bonnie is getting very old - but she enjoyed taking a dip too. We spotted Cedar Waxwings, House Finches, Quail, Martins, Wild Turkey, Canadian Geese, Hummingbird & Mallards. The little martins were taking a dirt bath in the sand near the bank of the river. They were very bold and flew all around us.
